Are there any second hand riding apparel stores in Calgary?
If so can you please give me the address, remeber best answer gets 10 points!
Here is a few tips, not exactly an address. But you have a great question, and I’d love to know too!
Post an ad on a few different FREE local web sites for some of the items that you are looking for or even with this same question, but a few more details may help too.
www.craigslist.com, select Calgary and then select pet or Farm & Garden.
www.buyandsell.com
www.kijiji.com go to Calgary and select pets.
www.usedcalgary.com
www.discoverfoothills.com go to features and select classified.
You can also call Tradio 652-3333 which is a radio program on Monday to Saturday (not on Sunday) on station 1140 am between 9:05 AM and 9:35 am. You call in when you have something to buy, sell, trade, looking for, needing to find etc. It is great way to get to people as there is a huge amount of listeners. Give it a try, you never know until you try! RIGHT?
I do know that K&K Saddlery out of Lyalta (NW of Strathmore) is a great place to find second hand tack for western and english, and I would think that the owner Karen may know who has second hand apparel 934-5835 is their number. They are great to deal with.
You may also want to check http://www.horsesall.com/ or find the newspaper itself and see if there is any advertisers in it or place one in there yourself.
You could also send a question to the published in Calgary magazine called Western Horse Review http://www.westernhorsereview.com/WesternHorseReview/index.php and I am sure they have a catagory for people with questions and then answers will be fwd’d to you or they may put it in the magazine – it is a great question.
Try www.horsetopia.com to see if there is any listings, or once again make a listing yourself.

If all else fails put a flyer in the local fed shop you buy from or in the Calgary Herald etc. You could post some at stables/arenas and hope someone gets back to you too!
That is all I know, I hope you find a location as I’d really love to know too!
The person that replied after me is talking about The Horse Store and it is on Memorial Drive (or on Kensington just west of Crowchild trail) it is in a row of businesses with a Pet store and a 7/11. Great Suggestion!

I’m sure there are. My aunt and uncle travel a lot (uncle’s job) and they were in Calgary for a couple days last fall.
My aunt came back with a bunch of horse stuff (mainly apparel), I know she got some in Calgary, if not all.
If you don’t find anything, here’s a website of a local consignment shop, they have an ebay store and will ship anything to you.
