question about riding breeches?
i have serious thighs and am really self-conscious when i wear my riding breeches…is there anything i can ride English in besides them?
or any reason not to feel self-conscious?
If you really want to wear jods you can get some flattering colours now. I wear two tone ones that have the darker colour on the outside panel to make thighs look slimmer and longer.
i have had horses all my life and barely ever ride in jods. i ride in black trousers or jogging bottoms with socks over the top and long boots. jeans might be uncomfortable i dont like them off a horse so never tryed.

there are several people at my barn (eventing) that wear chaps, (they don’t have fringes:P) they say they’re more comfortable for light work than breeches. Your can also wear stretchy skinny jeans (my other friend wears those) or if you really feel the need, track pants.
everyone has breech issues. (once at a show, a girl was wearing see through white breeches and blue underwear…back view of 2point not pretty) and everyone has body issues. be confident in who you are and wear what you feel confident wearing.

i use jeans about half the time, or you could try getting breeches a size or two bigger and using a belt to hold them up so that they wouldn’t be skin tight in the legs showing everything. but really i don’t think it’s anything to worry about, everyone has their thing they are self conscious about, no big deal it’s better to have a physical flaw then to be mean or aggressive or abusive to people and animals

I know this is a UK site but there are loads on here you can look at for an idea of what I mean. http://www.robinsons-uk.com type two-tone jodhpurs in the search facility.
