Whatever is cheapest and most comfortable for you. The only time I school in breeches is a few days before a show when I have to start riding in my boots. Then I wear some Ariats that I picked up for cheap at the Equine Affaire. Other than that I always ride in jeans.

I find tuffrider breaches to be nice and durable. For the past few months I've been riding 5x a week and they still look rather new. Comfy too.

i prefer kerrits. they’re called training breeches and they’re thin, stretchy, cotton, and they have calf grips and seat patches. i highly reccomend them. plus they’re a lot less expensive than ariat and other high-priced brands!

I love Dublin. Get them on Dover closeout for around $20-40. They last forever, are thick enough to be warmish in the winter, but really cool in the summer. They come in both knee patch and full seat. Devon-aire won't last long though.

I really like devon-aire xwear breeches. I don't know what they are made of but they are super comfy and stretchy and last pretty long, though after awhile and lots of use start to get some holes. The breeches last pretty long and are super comfortable! Good luck shopping!
