Are Clydesdale the biggest horses in the world?
I’m from St. Louis and have seen them a number of times. I do know that St. Louis has the largest number of Clydesdale. Just wondering if they are the biggest breed of horses?
Actually, of the Draft Horses, Clydesdale’s are the smallest. The largest horses are the Shire Draft horses at an average 17 hands and the weight, just shy of one ton.
Yes they are and
cheetahs are the fastest animal on earth
irish wolfhounds are the tallest dog
chihuahua the smallest
whale the largest mammal
References :
Clydesdales actually tend to be on the small/light side for a draft breed. Shires are usually the tallest and Belgians the heaviest (individual size variation being such that there is overlap)
