what are you all …
what are you all taking about with the BTV thing
Horse is BTV …. …
Horse is BTV …. How is that wonderful ??? I guess people are so used to see horses ridden BTV that it is beautiful now ???? Please ….it is not because the horse is gorgeous that all is correct ; this is what happens at dressage shows , I notice that riders with big expensive imports get better scores because their mistakes look PRETTIER …. America wake up people
I think the horse …
I think the horse is lovely and Jennifer is an excellent rider who has had much experience. If I had any comment, it may be to soften the hands a little more, Push them a little forward at times to take the pressure off. It is always a challenge developing a young horse. I appreciate that Jennifer took this video for us to watch and appreciate and learn from. Thank you to her.
What a wonderful …
What a wonderful horse. You work him so nice and soft. I can read the horse are only 6 years, great. Wish you all the best.
I’m sorry, but …
I’m sorry, but horses shouldn’t be ridden btv. Still, it seems to me that the rider just has a bit of tension in the upper back. You can see her compensate by leaning ever so slightly into the corners, rather than twisting her torso. It looks like that is traveling down the rein and giving her a heavier hand that the horse is rotating around, esp visable in the canter. There’s nothing wrong with the training, I guess a bit more give in the hand and we’d really see that hindend jumping through.
First of all, that …
First of all, that horse is gorgeous and is doing amazing for a six year old. Second of all, he is a YOUNG horse in training. He is probably at Training Level. Horses at that level do not have the self-carriage to hold themselves, so the rider must help the horse by holding them up. When the rider is holding the horse up, the horse’s head must be a live weight or be supple in the throatlatch. And third of all, I love how her ankles are moving with the motion.
a young horse …
a young horse should be carrying themselves above the bit, not behind it. anything more than 5 degrees from vertical is incorrect and is creating problems with the horses muscular and skeletal systems.
omg ! what a beauty …
omg ! what a beauty ! i want like that kind of horse
nice vid
dreamf, there is …
dreamf, there is nothing incorrect going on here. The riders hands are not too high, egasserd. And no, this rider does not ride him ‘like a tractor”. I have no idea why you people are being so incredibly nasty, but you are showing a LOT of ignorance and nastiness as well. The horse is not stiff, she is not holding him up…you folks may think you know a lot but you don’t.
Why do people …
Why do people insist on hanging onto the mouth when just standing there? !!! I just don’t get that.
She is training. In …
She is training. In training, a horse’s head may not be perfectly on the vertical to supple the horse.
Remember, the horse is 6 years old. He hasn’t developed the strength for self-carriage yet. His muscles are building.
I agree with …
I agree with egasser-
Wow how incorrectly he holds his head, actually she holds it! The poll should be the highest part not the crest of his neck-he will most likely end his career with breathing problems. His hidquarters are not really engaged-he is stiff and seems like he has not really been warmed up
